UNION — The SCWorks Union office will be the site this week of job recruitment events by a staffing agency and a local restaurant.
The first recruitment event will be held today from 10 a.m.-noon by Kelly Services. The Greenville-based job services agency is looking to recruit personnel for an area client for the following positions:
These are entry level positions that pay $9 an hour. The jobs range from stacking racks to filling IV bags to packaging positions.
Machine Operator II
These positions pay $14-$15 an hour and involve:
• Meeting daily production schedules and quality standards by following work and safety instructions and completing all necessary paper-work in order to track, log and monitor production activity; i.e., GMP paperwork, product documentation, inspection data and results .
• Completing routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment, including basic troubleshooting, routine and standard repairs that are authorized, and daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills; proactively approaches responsibilities; excellent collaboration and team building skills

This will be the second job recruitment event Kelly Services has sponsored at the SCWorks Union office in the past two weeks.
In May, Kelly Services sponsored a job recruitment event for an area client that drew 26 applicants. The job services agency represents more than 100 clients in the Upstate.

The second job recruitment event this week will be sponsored by the Bojangles restaurant in Union on Thursday from 10 a.m.-noon. The restaurant is looking to fill the following positions:
Driver-Thru Team Member
Job requires those hired to greet customers and take their order, assemble the order, receive the payment and then present the order to the customer. Drive-thru team members also thank the customer and ask them to visit the restaurant again.
A high school diploma or GED is required for the position.
Those hired for the position will be required to meet and take orders from customers, package orders, take payments and issue receipts. May work drive-thru window, taking orders via a headset or speakers.

Located at 103 W. Main St., Union the SCWorks office provides employers with space for job fairs and hiring events.
