UNION — An upcoming study will offer an opportunity for local women with physical disabilities to receive cash for participating in a survey.


Able South Carolina will host a survey event between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, May 5 at its office located at 115 Thomas Street, Union (in the same building as the Union County Health Department).


Women between the ages of 18 and 40 with physical disabilities are invited to take up to two 30-minute surveys and receive up to $35 cash. The surveys will be conducted by The University of South Carolina, which is seeking input regarding family planning desires. The information collected will be confidential and used to support an application for a federal grant.


Those who plan to participated are asked to leave a voice message at (864) 252-8822 by Friday, May 2.
