CARLISLE — Even though he’d been busy the night before and early that morning, the Easter Bunny still managed to attend the Town of Carlisle’s annual Easter Egg Hunt Sunday afternoon.
The Easter Egg Hunt was held at the Carlisle Town Hall for children ages 10 and under, all of whom were accompanied by adults. Each child brought their own Easter Basket or other containers to collect the more than 500 real and plastic Easter Eggs hidden around the town hall.
After the hunt, refreshments were served and the 65 children who participated in it were presented with Easter Baskets by the Easter Bunny and the community volunteers assisting him. As the baskets were being distributed, the Easter Bunny posed with each child for a picture as well as posing with the children for a group photo.
Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn thanked the Easter Bunny for his participation and also thanked the volunteers for their hard work.
“It was a community effort,” Ferguson-Glenn said. “There were people who donated Easter Baskets, who donated Easter Eggs, who donated their time. It took a combination of things to make it a success.”
