BUFFALO — A new local restaurant opened for business on Monday.
The Buffalo Grill, located at 1118 Main Street, Buffalo, is open from 6 a.m.-8p.m. Monday-Saturday and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sundays.
Gaffney residents James and Margie Sisk said they are excited about the opening of their new restaurant, The Buffalo Grill.
“We’re proud to be here — to be part of the Buffalo community and Union County,” Margie said.
The new restaurant offers a breakfast menu — featuring specials, pancakes, omelets, biscuits and more — and a lunch/dinner menu featuring burgers, hot dogs, a variety of sandwiches.
Homemade soup with cornbread and homemade pinto beans with cornbread are available each day. Margie’s famous Southwest Soup is chock full of beef, black beans, tomatoes, corn and other special ingredients. Specialties also include homemade three-cheese pimento cheese sandwiches, Calabash chicken, grilled chicken and more.
Customers Wade and Sharon Coats said they were very happy with their meals, as well as their samples of Southwest Soup.
“Everything was good,” Sharon said. “I’m funny about my chili, and they had real good chili.”
James said he and his wife decided to open up in Buffalo because they felt there was a need for such a place. He said there are established places already in Buffalo that do a great job, but there are limits.
“There are a lot of families in this community who walk,” he said, explaining that he expects walk-up business to be steady.
“With the good Lord’s help, we’ll do it,” Margie said.
