UNION — A section of a street in Union has been closed for repairs and traffic detoured until the project is completed.

In a statement released Friday, the South Carolina Department of Transportation Maintenance Division announced that it has closed South Boyce Street. The announcement states that the section of South Boyce Street is being closed for the repair/replacement to a culvert.

Until the project is completed and the street reopened to traffic, the SCDOT has put in place a detour that includes the Duncan Bypass and Union Boulevard. The net detour length is approximately 0.94 miles.

For more information about the project, the public is directed to contact SCDOT District Maintenance Engineer Todd Cook at 803-377-4155.
