UNION — The Union County Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly Business After Hours event this week. The event was hosted by Wallace Thomson Hospital and sponsored by The Union Daily Times, Blue Ridge Hospice, Davis Services, and Servicemasters Cleaning.

Chamber Executive Director Torance Inman discussed the host and sponsors.

“All five are Chamber of Commerce members, and they sponsored the event as an ongoing effort of the chamber to provide networking opportunities for its members and opportunities for sponsors to make members and the community aware of their services to the community as a whole,” he said.

Inman added that refreshments provided by Wallace Thomson Hospital were second to none and that he was pleased with the turnout.

“Everyone in attendance received information on upcoming events from the chamber and was able to get information from sponsors as well as share information of their own,” he said.

Speakers included Union County Recreation Department Program Director Jessica Gallman, who discussed the upcoming Halloween Downtown event. Gallman said an average of 1,200 children typically attend the event held each year on Main Street in Union.
