The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Benjamin Curtis Dunbar, 29, of 118 Cherokee Avenue, Union, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a Schedule II narcotic, failure to stop for police, speeding, and leaving the scene with property damage around 2:45 a.m. Feb. 6. According to the incident report, officers activated the blue light to pull over Dunbar’s vehicle on Hwy. 176. Dunbar turned onto Sams Road, exited the vehicle and fled into a wooded area. A K-9 unit was deployed, and as officers closed in on Dunbar, he turned himself in.
— Freddie Danielle Moore, 29, of 112 Jolly Drive, Union, was charged with possession of a Schedule III narcotic, possession of a prescription drug, and possession of contraband in the Union County Jail around 1:05 p.m. Feb. 6. According to the incident report, Moore had four tramadol pills and two halves of an alprazolam pill in her underwear when being booked at Union County Jail.
