UNION — Three people have been arrested in a rash of burglaries that have occurred in Union County over the past few months.
Felicia Parkins, 20, of 364 Jones Ford Road, Union, was charged with grand larceny and burglary around 9:07 p.m. Dec. 1. According to the incident report, Parkins was involved in the burglary of a residence at 222 Jones Ford Road, Union and was an accessory after the fact of a felony in regard to a burglary at 1528 Kelly Road in Union. Parkins remains in jail on a $15,000 bond.
Freddie Puckett, 53, of 117 Highland Drive, Union, was charged with grand larceny from 1528 Kelly Road, Union, grand larceny from 222 Jones Ford Road, Union, and grand larceny from 402 Terrapin Road, Union. Puckett was also charged with third-degree burglary for the burglary of 402 Terrapin Road and second-degree burglary from the burglary of 222 Jones Ford Road. Puckett remains in jail on a $10,000 bond.
Union County Sheriff’s Investigators also cleared a burglary case that occurred at 1210 Old Buncombe Road, Union. The suspect in this case is now deceased, so they declined to issue the name.
Of the total $17,150 in property stolen from these locations, investigators have recovered $16,550.
Union County investigators have also arrested Jimmy Arthur Rhinehart, Jr., 45, of 101 Toluca St., Union, in connection with the burglary of a storage building at 412 Browns Creek Road, Union. Rhinehart has been charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. The total value of the items stolen was $1,520. Investigators have recovered $750 of the items at this time. Rhinehart was arrested on Dec. 5, and is currently in jail awaiting a bond hearing.
