The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Shanna Leigh Bailey, 33, of 225 Deepwater Road, Union and Megan Nicole Keisler, 21, of 219 Deepwater Road, Union, were each charged with shoplifting around 4 p.m. Oct. 23. According to the incident report, Bailey took two bottles of deodorant, two packs of makeup, one pack of mascara, one eye pencil, one pack of batteries, and one bottle of melatonin — valued at a total of $52.61 — from Dollar General, located at 410 North Duncan Bypass, Union. The report also states that Keisler knew about Bailey’s shoplifting, and a store employee stated she heard Keisler on her cell phone telling Bailey where employees were located within the store.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrest:
— Aacheson Jazrell Briggs, 26, of 1494 Pleasant School Road, Gaffney, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a liquor law violation around 10:05 p.m. Oct. 23. According to the incident report, officers responded to the Dollar General distribution center in Jonesville after receiving a call of possible drug activity. Officers located 27.1 grams of marijuana, digital scales, plastic bags, and three quarts of illegal moonshine.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Sardis Road, Union, reported on Oct. 23 that a Mossberg 12-gage shotgun valued at $300 and a Glock 19 9mm valued at $500 were missing from the bedroom of her residence. There was no forced entry into the residence.
— A resident of Lukesville Road, Buffalo, reported on Oct. 23 that someone entered his residence between Oct. 10-23 and took items. The victim stated copper pipes were cut from inside and underneath the residence; counter tops were pulled off counters; and metal finishing was taken from inside the residence including vents, shower poles and towel racks. The victim valued the damage at a total of $600.
