The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Rahshi Kinte Mayes, 30, of 1217 West Springs Highway, Jonesville, was charged with petit larceny, carbreaking, financial transaction card theft, and financial card fraud around 12:55 a.m. Sept. 12. According to arrest warrants, Mayes broke into a car parked at Union County YMCA on May 20, and he stole a woman’s purse. Warrants also state Mayes used a Discover card from the purse to make a purchase in the amount of $8 at Kangaroo Express and a purchase in the amount of $65.66 at Lil Cricket.
— Tammy Pearline Thomas, 43, of 525 Santuc Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 4:40 a.m. Sept. 13.
— Octavious Duquan Smith, 19, of 228 Blueridge Road, Union, was charged with trespassing around 12:15 p.m. Sept. 12. According to the arrest warrant, Smith was inside a Union Housing Authority apartment after having already been served with a trespass notice for all Union Housing Authority property.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incident:
— A resident of Happy Valley Road, Union, reported on Sept. 12 that her home was burglarized on Sept. 10. Items missing included a camcorder, camera, an unknown amount of jewelry, ammunition, collectible knives and a prescription. Missing items are estimated at a total value of $302. The case was sent to investigations.
