UNION — On Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, News Channel 7’s Chief Meteorologist, Christy Henderson, came to Foster Park Elementary School to give the second graders a first-hand look at meteorology.

During her visit, she delivered a very student-friendly presentation about the types of weather, the use of weather tools, precautions to take during severe weather, weather forecasting, and what it takes to become a meteorologist. Students were engaged and participated in the discussion.

In her closing remarks, she encouraged each student to learn all that they can now (especially in math, science, and computers) so that when they’re older they can be successful in whatever career they choose.

Foster Park Elementary School’s second graders love Christy Henderson!
