UNION — The three lovely young ladies who will be presented at the 2014 Union Cotillion Club Debutante Ball met for the first time as a group on May 31, when Mrs. Robert Meeks Hope opened the Hope House on West South Street in Union for the Debutante Tea.

The 2014 debutantes — Miss Mackenzie Anne Skipper, Miss Elizabeth Katherine Lawson, and Miss Rebecca Lawson Gallman — will be presented at the annual debutante ball on Dec. 30.

The tea hosted by Mrs. Hope, the Executive Committee, and Mrs. Robert Easterling Guess, club president, also welcomed five new members — Mrs. Jeffrey Lynn Berry, Ms. Loren Sommer-Grissom, Ms. Annie Louise Smith, Ms. Kristina Helen Sommer, Mrs. Jonathan Cole Tillotson.
