SPARTANBURG — The Leadership Spartanburg Alumni Association (LSAA) recently selected Ms. Ann Angermeier as their LSAA Alumnus of the Year for 2014. The 2014 LSAA Alumnus of the Year winner was not only recognized with this prestigious award, but was also asked to designate a nonprofit of her choice to receive a $1,000 donation from LSAA.


Ms. Angermeier graduated from Leadership Spartanburg in 2001. The nominee must be a demonstrated leader in the Spartanburg community and one who has made significant impact in the last three years.


Ms. Angermeier is the Executive Director for the Upstate Workforce Investment Board. She has and continues to serve on several boards and committees in the community and in the region.


Ms. Natalia Swanson nominated Ms. Angermeier to the LSAA Awards Committee stating, “Ann has invested in her community not only through service to nonprofits, boards, committees, groups but also to individuals. If you are in need and you approach Ann, she will do what is her power to help you. Ann has proven herself as a knowledgeable and valuable leader in the community.”


Ms. Angermeier designated the donation to the Upstate Workforce Futures Corporation, a non-profit organization focused on workforce development in support of the Upstate Workforce Investment Board’s programs and projects.
