UNION — Animal Control officer, Heather Sealy visits Foster Park Elementary School to pick up donations for the Union County Animal Shelter.

Mrs. Hayes’ 5th grade class has been asking the school for donations of dog or cat food, newspapers, old towels, toys, or treats in honor of April being Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month. All month, the students in Mrs. Hayes’ class have been writing speeches to read on the morning news sharing what they have learned about animal cruelty and asking for help with donations for the shelter.

Sealy answered questions about the shelter and presented the class with a book all about how to take care of animals at the shelter. The students couldn’t wait to start reading it!
