6-8 p.m.: Outreach Deliverance Church hosts the “International Spy Academy” Vacation Bible School. It will be held in the ODC’s Gymnasium at 4317 King-Kennedy St., Carlisle. Your child will be filled with excitement and most importantly, he/she will be encouraged to learn, know, love, and live for the one true God as they enjoy songs, crafts, games, goodies, and dramas. We don’t want any child to miss “International Spy Academy” VBS, so contact the church office at 864-429-8811864-429-8811 before May 18 to preregister and please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. 6:30-8 p.m.: James Chapel Baptist Church, Carlisle, holds Vacation Bible School. The theme is “Gangway To Galilee.” The Rev. T.A. Moore, Pastor. The public is invited.

Wednesday, June 11-Friday, June 13

9 a.m.-6 p.m.:

New Horizon United Christian Church Bible Camp, 109 Beltline Road, Union. The theme is “Time Out For Bullying.” It is open to all children ages 6 and above. There will be fun, games, and prizes. Registration is at the door and children must be signed in by an adult.

11 a.m.: Friendship Baptist Church, 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, holds a Father’s/Men’s Day Celebration during morning worship with Minister Gary Spells of Monks Grove Baptist Church as the guest preacher. The public is invited. Rev. Michael A. Glenn, Pastor.

2 p.m.: Thomas Chapel AME Church celebrates their 117th Church Anniversary. Minister Amy Beasley Worthy of Sims Chapel Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

3 p.m. & 7 p.m.: Mt. Olive Baptist Church holds revival. Rev. W.M. Bryson will be the Sunday afternoon speaker at 3 p.m. Rev. James E. Tillotson will be the Monday-Wednesday speaker at 7 p.m. Rev. Ronald O. Feaster, Pastor.

Saturday, June 21

10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Salem Baptist Church, 1835 Tinker Creek Road, Santuc, extends an invitation to a VBS Kick-Off “Block Party” which will include a free hot dog lunch, snow cones, popcorn, bounce house, games, prizes and much more.

2 p.m.: The Mitchell Chapel Christian Church Praise Dance Ministry holds an “Extravaganza.” Pastor Tony and Laquita Griffin are the pastors at MCCC.

6 p.m.: Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church hosts Christian comedian Laura West. The event, which is “Ladies Night Out,” is hosted by the WMU of Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church. 8 a.m.-Until: St. Luke Baptist Church of Buffalo-Lukesville holds a bake sale in Lot 27 of the Union County Stadium.

2 p.m.: Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church’s Sympathy Ministry holds a One Day Revival. Rev. McCovey, Pastor of New Hope AME Church, will be the speaker.

2 p.m.: Bethel Baptist Church, 904 Pea Ridge Highway, Jonesville, sponsors a Missionary Program. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Della Hill, Associate Pastor of Saint Paul Baptist Church, Union. The public is invited. President Mrs. Viola Rice. Pastor Rev. James E. Tillotson.

2:30 p.m.: Paradise AME Church celebrates Family and Friends Day. Rev. Michael Hill, pastor of Mt. Zion AME Church, Little Mountain, SC, will be guest speaker. Rev Tab Hunter, pastor.

2:30 p.m.: New Chapel A.M.E. Church, 249 Bird St., invites everyone to our One Day Revival. The speaker will be Rev. Roderick Oglesby of Bethesda Baptist Church in Santuc. Rev. Carolyn Evans, Pastor.

2:30 p.m.: Monarch Baptist Church hosts their annual Missionary Program. The speaker of the hour will be Evangelist Michelle Knight. Pastor is Rev. Sumter Franklin.

6 p.m.: Gospel music group Brothers Five in concert at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church. All visitors are invited to attend.

Sunday, June 22-Thursday, June 26

6-8::30 p.m.: Salem Baptist Church, 1835 Tinker Creek Road, Santuc, will hold its annual Vacation Bible School. The program, “Weird Animals,” conveys the message that God loves them no matter their differences. Supper will be provided each night.

Sunday, June 29

2 p.m.: St. Luke Baptist Church holds its Men’s Day Program. The speaker will be the Rev. Elijah Ray, pastor of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church. We invite all churches and the public. Rev. George W. Shell, Pastor.

3 p.m.: The Inspirational Choir of McBeth Baptist Church celebrates their Choir Anniversary. The public is invited. Rev. Freddie L. Wicker, Jr., Pastor.

Sunday, July 20-Wednesday, July 23

1:30 p.m. & 7 p.m.: Friendship Baptist Church, 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, holds Revival Services. The Rev. Brandon T. Whitehurst, pastor of Monks Grove Baptist Church in Spartanburg will preach the opening sermon on Sunday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. A fellowship dinner will follow. The Rev. Calvin Gallman, pastor of the New Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church of Duncan will preach Monday, July 21 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Anthony Wilson, pastor of the Bethany Baptist Church of Joneville will preach Tuesday, July 22 at 7 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Jefferson N. McDowell, pastor of the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Laurens will preach Wednesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. The public is invited. Rev. Michael A. Glenn is church pastor.

Sunday, Aug. 3

11 a.m.: Old Timey Homecoming at Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church. This is in celebration of the 230th anniversary of the church. All visitors are invited to attend and learn some of the history of this wonderful church.

11 a.m.: Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church recognizes Masons and Shriners during the morning service. All visitors are invited to attend.

Sunday, Nov. 2

4 p.m.: The Male Choir of Friendship Baptist Church, 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, presents a Fall Gospel Concert. The public is invited. Rev. Michael A. Glenn, Pastor.
