Upcoming Local Events And News

St. Timothy Lutheran Church will host its annual Homecoming Services the weekend of June 1st at 11 a.m. Everybody is invited to attend.


The Whitmire Economic Development Board’sI-26/I-77 Yard Sale is the weekend thing to do on June 6 & 7. The sale ranges from I-26 at Whitmire/Clinton exit all the way through Whitmire on SC 72, through Carlisle, Chester, on over to Richbourg near I-77 to the Charlotte exit. This is a multi-county effort. Members of the Econ Board have stated that folks from Florida and Georgia have called about the sale and plan to visit Whitmire.

The annual Party In The Pines Festival is June 12-14 . This is a three night festival held on Main Street. The event features various genres of music: Gospel, R&B, Soul, Country, Blues with The Mattie Phifer Band, and Country Rock with Cody Webb. The Annual Wolverine Golf Classic will be held Saturday, June 14 at The Whitmire Golf Course. This Annual Tourney draws former Whitmire graduates/athletes to town. It is a fund raiser for the WHS Booster Club.

This is a free summer golf program for kids, teens and adults who want to learn to play golf. The Members of The Whitmire Golf Association will be on hand to furnish clubs and assist.
