Herndon St., Union holds a Community Prayer followed by a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. The theme is “Wedding In Paradise.” There will be a “Dressing Of The Tables” with a $10 donation required. 3 p.m.: St. Luke Baptist Church holds a benefit program for Tracy Cheek, a three-time cancer survivor whose cancer has returned. The proceeds from the benefit will go to Cheek and her family to help with the medical bills. The benefit will include singing and praise team dancers. The Rev. George W. Shell Jr., Pastor.

9:30 a.m. & 7 p.m.: Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1622 Kelly Road, celebrates Homecoming and Revival. Sunday morning worship service begins at 9:30 a.m. Revival service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Monday-Wednesday night Revival services will also be at 7 p.m. There will be special singing and music each night. Rev. Larry Hyder, retired, will speak at the Sunday morning service. The Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey of New Hope United Methodist Church will speak at the Sunday evening service. The Rev. Ken Nelson, Congregation Specialist — Hartsville District in Camden will be the speaker at the Monday evening service. The Rev. David Bauknight of Grace United Methodist Church will be the speaker at the Tuesday evening service. The Rev. Tuie Wentz of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church and Bethel United Methodist Church will be the speaker at the Wednesday evening service. 6:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.: The Union County Baptist Association WMU fall meeting and dinner will be held at Buffalo Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. The program, which will feature guest speakers and mission displays by our associational team, will follow at 7:30 p.m. to purchase your $8 dinner ticket, please see your WMU director by Sept. 11.
