The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Charles Jeffery Collier, 43, of 460 North Georgia Street, Spartanburg, was charged with habitual traffic offense and failure to stop for a blue light around 5:30 p.m. Apr. 3. Collier was also charged by the South Carolina Highway Patrol with driving under the influence, driving under suspension (4th). According to the incident report, a deputy activated his blue lights after witnessing Collier driving recklessly, and Collier — driving a blue Suzuki motorcycle — accelerated, starting a pursuit headed south on Santuc Carlisle Hwy. toward Carlisle. The report states that during the pursuit, Collier turned left on Fish Dam Ave., passed a vehicle on a double yellow line, passed a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Hwy. 72, and turned left toward Chester County. Collier then attempted to turn right into a driveway, lost control, wrecked, and was placed under arrest.
— Robert Ruth, 51, of 1601 Berry Farm Road, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 4:25 a.m. Apr. 4.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Lyle Delmar Pearson, 25, of 103 Westminister Circle, Union, was charged with dog running at large around 6:30 p.m. Apr. 3.
— Ryan Curtis Goodman, 40, of 121 North Church Street, Union, was charged with discharge of a fire arm in city limits around 1:35 a.m. Apr. 4.
