UNION COUNTY — Three more people have been arrested on drug charges as part of The Union County Sheriff’s Office’s “Summer Sizzler” anti-drug sweep.
On Monday, Sheriff David Taylor announced that his office was conducting “Summer Sizzler,” an operation designed to take more drug dealers off the streets of Union County. Taylor said that a total of 19 people had been arrested as of Monday afternoon based on evidence gathered through individual undercover drug buys and search warrants served by the Narcotic Officers of his office.
The arrests actually began last Wednesday and continued last Thursday with the majority of arrests taking place Monday. In announcing those 19 arrests, Taylor said that more arrests could be pending.
Pending became made less than a day later as the sheriff’s office announced Tuesday morning that three more people had been arrested as part of “Summer Sizzler.” Those arrested were:
• Crystal Haney Garner, 35, 870 Lee Road, Union, was charged with possession of s Schedule IV narcotic
• William David Lawson, 55, 792 Sugar Creek Road, Union, was charged with distribution of a Schedule II narcotic
• Chadwick Shane Lawson, 47, 106 Duncan Ave., Buffalo, was charged with distribution of a Schedule II Narcotic
Those arrests bring to 22 the number of people arrested during “Summer Sizzler.”
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Andrey Darnell Hall Jr., 23, of 1205 Arthur Boulevard, Union, was charged with enhanced shoplifting and trespassing after notice around 12:15 p.m. July 27. According to the enhanced shoplifting warrant, Hall concealed a Coors Light beer in the front of his pants and exited the Fresh Air Galaxy, passing all points of sale without paying. The trespassing warrant states that Hall entered Fresh Air Galaxy after being issued a trespass notice for the property.
— Angel Lynn Beheler, 18, of 110 B St., Jonesville, was charged with shoplifting around 4:05 p.m. July 27. According to the arrest warrant, Beheler concealed on her person one piece of body jewelry at Walmart and passed all points of sale with the intention of depriving the owner of the property.
