The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Jerry Layton Garner, 67, of 117 South 6th Street, Lockhart, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 9:35 p.m. Dec. 28. According to the incident report, Garner attacked a woman at his residence and drug her around the residence by her hair.
— William Travis Fowler, 32, of 244 Mudbridge Road, Buffalo, was charged with third-degree criminal domestic violence and third-degree assault and battery around 1:55 a.m. Dec. 28. According to the incident report, Fowler struck a woman with his fist and slapped a juvenile while at his residence.
— Andrew Hunter Adams, 31, of 257 Pea Ridge Hwy., Jonesville, was charged with third-degree assault and battery around 8:24 p.m. Dec. 26. According to the incident report, Adams assaulted a woman by punching her in the face, and when she tried to defend herself, he hit her in the head, back, neck and all over her body. The report states a witness saw Adams drag the woman by her hair down a hallway and out the front door of the residence before he left in his vehicle. The report states the woman had scratches and bruises on her neck and arms, knots on her forehead and a broken bone in her left foot.
— Michael Gene Gist Jr., 52, of 144 Gist Quarters Road, Union, was charged with third-degree criminal domestic violence around 2:15 p.m. Dec. 24. According to the incident report, Gist assaulted a woman by slapping her in the face, causing a bloody nose, and threatening to kill her.
— Chris Dean Sinclair, 61, of 227 Carem Road, Union, was charged with trespassing around 8:16 p.m. Dec. 28.
— Matthew Wayne Gilkison, 17, of 302 2nd Street, Union, was charged with giving false information around 2:59 a.m. Dec. 27.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Hill Street, Buffalo, reported that some time between Dec. 25-28 a demolition saw was stolen from the back of his work truck while the truck was parked at his residence. The saw is valued at $700.
— A Union resident reported that while he was at a party on Whitlock Lake Road in Jonesville on Dec. 26, profanity and other marks were scratched into the paint of his vehicle. Damages are estimated at $1,800.
— The owner of a business on Industrial Park Road in Union reported on Dec. 28 that a television antenna was stolen from outside the business between Dec. 25-28. The antenna was valued at $106.
— Residents of Cudd Lane, Union, reported on Dec. 26 that their residence was burglarized on Dec. 25. Missing items included a 10 ct. yellow gold diamond tennis bracelet valued at $1,200, a 1/2 ct. white gold diamond band valued at $800, a 42-inch LG LED TV valued at $500, a yellow gold wedding band valued at $90, a white gold three-stone ring valued at $80, a yellow gold diamond earring set valued at $40 and several necklaces. There were no signs of forced entry into the home.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Ronald Carter, 46, of 300 Wallace Street, Union, was charged with financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card fraud on Dec. 23. According to arrest warrants, Carter took a man’s debit card and used it between Nov. 1-Dec. 7.
— Chelsea Dawn Carroll, 22, of 1437 Peach Orchard Road, Union, was charged with second-degree assault and battery on Dec. 28. According to the incident report, Carroll stabbed another woman in the shoulder with a knife while at a residence on Wedgewood Court in Union.
