Guilty pleas heard Sept. 22


In General Sessions Court

UNION COUNTY — The following persons pleaded guilty before Judge Eugene Griffith of Newberry in General Sessions Court in the Main Courtroom of the Union County Courthouse on Friday, Sept. 22.

— Elijah Michael Laster, 28, 335 Wesley Chapel Road, Union, to second offense possession of methamphetamine, 30 months with credit for 74 days already served and to pay $283.25 in fines and court costs; to use of a vehicle without owner’s consent, three years suspended upon 36 months probation with credit for 74 days already served and to pay $643.75 in fines and court costs, sentences to run concurrently.

— Christopher Lyn Lemaster, 23, 233 North Main Street, Jonesville, to receiving stolen goods (enhanced), Youthful Offender Act sentence not to exceed 6 years with credit for two days already served and to pay $128.75 in fines and court costs and to pay $1,400 in restitution; to possession of contraband, Youthful Offender Act sentence not to exceed 6 years with credit for 30 days already served and to pay $128.75 in fines and court costs, sentences to run concurrently.

— William Matthew Ochiltree, 27, 105 Walker Street, Union, to first offense distribution of methamphetamine, 10 years suspended upon 6 years and three years probation with credit for time already served since May 23, 2017 and to pay $798.25 in fines and court costs.

— Justin Ryan Pressley, 26, 120 High Plains Drive, Union, to second offense possession of marijuana less than one ounce, 12 months with credit for time served since June 6, 2017 and to pay $283.25 in fines and court costs; to first offense possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, six months with credit for time already served since June 6, 2017 and to pay $283.25 in fines and court costs; to possession of a firearm during the commission of crime of violence, 3 years suspended upon 36 months probation and to pay $643.75 in fines and court costs, sentences to run concurrently.

— Caleb Kyle Lee Revis, 20, 317 3rd Street, Union, to burglary second-degree (non-violent), 6 years suspended upon 36 months probation with credit for 14 days already served and to pay $643.75 in fines and court costs.

— Paul Anthony Smith Jr., 29, 330 Mount Joy Church Road, Jonesville, to first offense possession of marijuana less than an ounce, time served with credit for 108 days already served and to pay $283.25 in fines and court costs; to second offense possession of methamphetamine, 5 years with credit for 108 days already served and to pay $150 in fines and court costs; to first offense distribution of methamphetamine, 10 years suspended upon 5 years and 30 months probation with credit for 108 days already served and to pay $798.25 in fines and court costs, sentences to run concurrently.

— Robert Bernard Smith Sr., 55, 714 Goldville Road, Whitmire, to first offense distribution of a Schedule II narcotic, 36 months suspended upon 30 months probation with credit for one day already served and to pay $798.25 in fines and court costs.
