UNION COUNTY — After a search of more than six weeks a third suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in the Pacolet area in January.

Rashell Jamal Tracy, 24, 690 Dogwood Circle, Pacolet is charged by the Union County Sheriff’s Office with armed robbery, burglary first-degree, and assault and battery first-degree.

Tracy, who was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon, is one of three persons charged in connection with an armed robbery at a home on Wild Turkey Lane in the Pacolet Community in Union County. Also charged in connection with the incident are:

• Breanna Taylor Clark, 19, 1657 Goldmine Road, Spartanburg, charged by the Sheriff’s Office with armed robbery, burglary first-degree, and assault and battery first-degree.

• Garaell Bryan Williams, 30, 460 Bradley Road, Spartanburg, charged by the Sheriff’s Office with armed robbery, burglary first-degree, and assault and battery first-degree.

Clark and Williams were both arrested within hours of the robbery which took place around 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 30.

In announcing the arrest of Clark and Williams, Sheriff David Taylor said that the victim told deputies that three subjects, one female and two males, came to his residence in a white in color 4-door car. He said the victim told deputies he had spoke with a female that he knew as “Bre Clark,” and she had asked to borrow money from him. Taylor said the victim stated that when “Bre” arrived, he went outside to see her, and was confronted with one male who had a gun and one male who had a baseball bat, who lead him back into his residence and took cash from him.

Taylor said investigators were called to the scene for evidence collection and to interview the victim. He said investigators were able to gather the names of the suspects, and within hours Clark and Williams were in custody and booked into the Union County Jail.

Authorities were not able to locate Tracy as quickly as they did Clark and Williams, however, and had to continue searching for him, a search that came to an end Wednesday.
