Wooten Miss Clemson contestant

CLEMSON — Ayla Wooten of Enoree was a contestant in the 2017 Miss Clemson University Scholarship Pageant.

Wooten, who is majoring in Architecture, was sponsored by Gamma Phi Beta.

The pageant, sponsored by Mortar Board Honor Society, was held Saturday, Jan. 28, at Clemson University’s Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.

The contestants competed in interviews, talent, evening gowns and onstage questions.

All of the contestants had to sell ads for the pageant program book, sell tickets, collect supplies for the Clemson Child Development Center and volunteer at the center. All of the proceeds benefit the Clemson Child Development Center.
