‘Weekend Bags of Love’ at BES


Churches donate food for program

BUFFALO — Some needy students get a special gift each Friday thanks to the efforts of their school and the generosity of some area churches.

Each Friday, Buffalo Elementary School distributes the “Weekend Bags of Love” donated by Buffalo are churches. The bags are distributed to BES students from needy families. Approximately 75 bag are distributed each Friday.

The church that donate the food to the school are:

• Grace United Methodist Church

• Wyatt’s Chapel

• Padgett’s Creek Baptist Church

• Lebanon Baptist Church

The Weekend Bags of Love program is another example of how there are many ways for schools to help their students and how their are many ways for churches to minister to those in need.
