CARLISLE — Residents of the Carlisle Community 60 years of age and older are invited to take part in a special Valentine’s Day celebration on Feb. 11 at the Carlisle Town Hall.
Town of Carlisle Mayor Mary Ferguson-Glenn announced this week that the town will host its 4th annual Valentine’s Day celebration for the community’s senior citizens. She said the celebration will be held in the town hall on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 3-6 p.m.
Ferguson-Glenn said that, as in previous years, all seniors attending the celebration are asked to wear red. Another tradition of the celebration is the crowning of the “Queen For A Day” from among the women attending the event. The woman selected will receive the title of Queen for a Day, a crown, and a gift.
Those attending the event are asked to bring a covered dish. The town will provide drinks and desserts.
There will be bingo and those attending are encouraged to play and win prizes.
Transportation will be made available to and from the town hall for those who need it.
