JONESVILLE — One of the great things about the holidays is that it presents an opportunity to not only receive gifts, but to also give them, especially to those less fortunate.

Among the institutions that do so are the schools which, either collectively or through individual classrooms, grades, and clubs, hold canned food drives to collected non-perishable foods for those might otherwise have little or even no food at Christmastime.

At Jonesville Elementary/Middle School, the Beta Club held its own canned food drive this year and enjoyed great success in the effort.

In a press release issued about the event, JEMS states that it “is very proud to announce that our Beta Club collected over 900 canned goods during our Canned Food Drive this year! Way to go Beta Club, and thank you to everyone who contributed!”
