MONARCH — Field trips are an especially important, fun, entertaining, and educational part of school and a recent field trip for some Monarch Elementary School students was all of those things.

In a statement released this past week Monarch Elementary School that its 5th grade students had recently enjoyed “a fun-filled day at the Bon Secours Wellness Center in Greenville” and they weren’t alone.

The press release states that more than 6,000 students “participated in activities and demonstrations from Roper Mountain Science Center, The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, Greenville Zoo, and Bricks 4 Kidz.”

It further states that the students “explored all the stations on the concourse and learned from these great educational partners. While watching the Greenville Swamp Rats play hockey, students were treated to several educational promotions and videos including an anti-bullying segment, science videos from Roper Mountain and much more.”
