UNION — It’s time once again for Tigers to roast chicken.
The Union County Clemson Club will host its annual Chicken Roast on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Veterans Memorial Lodge. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a dinner catered by Park Lane Seafood being served at 6 p.m.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature keynote speaker Don Munson. Munson began working with Clemson in 1994 as a part of the pregame, half-time, and post-game shows. In 2003, he began handling women’s basketball and baseball broadcasts as play-by-play announcer. Since 2014, he has served as play-by-play announcer for Clemson football as well as handling play-by-play duties for a variety of other Clemson sporting events.
Tickets for the event are $17 for adult club members and $10 children aged 5-11, with children four and under admitted free. Tickets for this event will only be available to members of the Union County Clemson Club.
The Chicken Roast is one of several events the Union County Clemson Club hosts each year. Annual membership in the Union County Clemson Club is $25 per family. The goal of the Clemson Club is to award academic scholarships to deserving students graduating from Union County High School and Union Christian Day School who will be attending Clemson.
