BUFFALO — The students of Buffalo Elementary School recently got an important lesson in fire safety from some very special visitors.

In a statement released this week, Buffalo Elementary School announced that the Buffalo Fire Department had been welcomed to the school on Friday, Oct. 14.

The press release states that the department brought 5-10 volunteers to the school to teach students many important things about fire safety including:

• When to dial 911.

• Not to play with lighters or matches.

• The importance of stop, drop, and roll.

The press release states that each student received a complimentary fire hat and a coloring book to use at home.

It concludes by stating that “the students had a great time learning from our Buffalo Volunteers.”
