The Devil’s plots or God’s plans?

Church Calendar

Charles Warner | The Union Times Since he began his rebellion against God and was thrown out of Heaven, the Devil has been constantly plotting. His first plot, the overthrow of God, ended in his defeat and eternal damnation. Since then, he has continued to plot, but not so much against God as against the human race. The goal of these plots is the eternal destruction of each and every human being. Why? Why is the Devil so determined to destroy each and every man and woman? It’s simple, misery loves company. The Devil is defeated and destined for eternal torment and since he cannot change his fate, he wants to drag as many down with him as he can. The Devil’s plots will come nothing, however, if human beings would shun them for God’s plan for each and every one of us. While the Devil has plots, God has plans, plans for each and everyone of His children who, if they will follow it, will avoid the fate of the Devil and instead experience eternal salvation in Heaven. Unlike the Devil, God desires that all be saved and so He has provided a plan for our salvation, a plan that begins with us recognizing that we are sinners and in need of His forgiveness for our sins and His guidance away from a life of sin to a life of salvation from sin and its consequences, both temporal and eternal. Where the Devil hates us, God loves us, loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die for our sins. So, who do you want to follow, a loser who wants to ruin your life on earth and then drag you down into eternal torment with him, or do you want to follow the greatest of all winners, who not only created you but wants to save your soul so that you can know eternal happiness, joy, and peace with Him? Well, who will you follow?
