Wildcats hosts Campobello Thursday

JONESVILLE — The Jonesville Wildcats middle school football team stopped Landrum last week in a final score of 30-13.

Highlights from the game included an 80-yard touchdown run by Harold Farr, III; a 70-yard reception by KJ McCluney from Jabryson Hunter and the two-point conversion by Farr; a 50-yard reception by Javarious Stewart, setting up a 12-yard touchdown run by Hunter (and another conversion by Farr). Jonesville led Landrum 22-0 at the half.

Landrum scored in the second half with a 60-yard touchdown run. Then, Jonesville’s McCluney caught a 35-yard reception, setting up for a 20-yard touchdown reception by Farr, who also got the two-point conversion.

Landrum was able to score once more with a 50-yard touchdown pass on a flea-flicker.

Jonesville’s defensive leaders were Ethan Lancaster, Caleb Bright and Isaiah Massey.

This week, Jonesville hosts Campobello for the Wildcats’ Homecoming and 8th Grade Night at 5 p.m. Thursday in Jonesville.
