UNION — A softball team that will be representing South Carolina in a national competition this month will be taking with them some gifts donated by USC Union.
In a statement released Thursday, USC Union Development/Public Relations Director Annie Smith announced that the university had made a donation to the SC Impact Softball Team.
Smith stated that the team is heading to Panama City, Fla., for the United States Fastpitch Association World Series later this month. While there, Smith said the team will have a gift exchange with the first team they play.
When the team has that exchange, Smith said it will include “goodies” donated by USC Union including cups, pens, and key chains to help the team fill their gift bags.
Smith said that if anyone would like to help the team out, please visit their GoFundMe page: www.gofundme.com/scimpact10u
