UNION COUNTY — The Union County Disabilities and Special Needs Board along with Ainsley’s Angels of the Upstate had a ½ Marathon/10K titled “J’ville to the U” on Saturday, June 18.

The ½ Marathon started at the old Jonesville High School and the 10K started on US 176 at the Commerce Park. Both races ended at Foster Park.

During the Marathon/10K six water stations were sponsored by the UCDSNB consumers and staff. Not only did these individuals supply water, but they supplied encouragement to the runners as they passed. The money raised will help individuals from both organizations participate in activities that they otherwise could not afford such as summer camps, road races, bowling, movies and other activities.

There were five chariot riders with Ainsley’s Angels. For more information about Ainsley’s Angels, you can visit the website www.AinsleysAngels.org
