UNION — Seventeen Union County High School students and four Union Christian Day School students were recognized for academic achievement this week by the Union Rotary Club.
The students were recognized as Rotary Scholars and were guests of honor during the club’s weekly meeting at Covenant Baptist Church on Tuesday.
Union Rotary Club President Torance Inman said the club chooses the Rotary Scholars from each grade in each school based on their academic achievements.
“We recognize the top four students in each grade, ninth through twelfth,” Inman said. “Each student is presented with a certificate identifying them as Rotary Scholars, each receives a Rotary Scholars t-shirt, and they also each received a special gift bag from Dr. John Catalano, Dean of USC Union.”
