CARLISLE — This past Saturday was a special day for the senior citizens of the Carlisle community who were treated by the Town of Carlisle to a Valentine’s celebration.
The event was held at the Carlisle Town Hall for residents of the Carlisle community 60 years of age and older. Those attending were treated to entertainment, bingo, and prizes. The town provided the desserts and drinks while those taking part brought covered dishes.
Participants were encouraged to wear red and for those that needed it, transportation was provided by the town.
One extra special part of the event was the crowning of a “Queen for a Day.” The recipient of that honor was Bobby Lyles.
Everyone who attended was presented with a gift bag from the town. Each gift bag contained a music box, a box of chocolates, and a flower.
