BUFFALO — A growing business founded by a a mother and daughter two years ago continued to experience success Friday with their first Christmas Open House at their new location in the Buffalo Community.
Carla Champion and her daughter Rebekah went into business together in August 2013, initially operating out of their home. They soon found themselves very busy with an increasingly successful business that, by early this year, had grown to the point where they decided they were ready to next their next step and open a full-fledged restaurant.
The result of the Champions taking that next step is the “Apple Blossom Bakery & Cafe” located at 839 Main St., Suite D, Buffalo.
Apple Blossom Bakery & Cafe is open from Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
It was open as normal on Friday, but even though it was operating on its regular schedule, Friday was a little different as the Champions hosted a Christmas Open House. In addition to the regular items for sale as on any other Friday, the Christmas Open House also featured Christmas gift baskets those dining there could either purchase or order.
Carla Champion said Friday that she was pleased with the results of the Christmas Open House.
“It’s going very, very good,” Champion said. “We’ve had a lot of people come in, sample our food and place orders. We’ve even had some people here from out of town. We’re very pleased.”
