UNION COUNTY — The outcome of Union County’s tennis match last night determined whether or not the team will tie for the region championship.
The Union County High School girls tennis team played on the road last night in a match which ended after this edition of The Union Daily Times went to publication. Check www.uniondailytimes.com, The Union Daily Times Facebook page, or tomorrow’s edition of The Union Daily Times for results of that match.
Monday night was Senior Night for the Union County tennis team. The team’s three seniors this year are Reid Bailey, Dexlie Inman and Abby Kingsmore. The seniors were recognized at their match against Clinton.
Monday’s home match was Union County’s first loss in region play, and second loss for the entire season. After the loss on Monday, Union County was 8-1 in region play and 10-2 on the season.
The team traveled to Clinton for last night’s match, and a win would mean a tie for the Region III-3A Championship.
