Upcoming Events

The Friends of the Library are hosting a Fall Festival on the library lawn from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 18. Bring the whole family for games, food, and fun!

Storytimes

Listen to music, read stories, and have fun! For ages 0-4.

Tuesday Storytime will be held every Tuesday at 10 a.m. through December 12.

Saturday Storytime is at 10 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Upcoming dates are Saturday, November 18 (alternate date due to Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving) and Saturday, December 9.

For Kids

Drop in at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15 for our once-a-month Minecraft Club and have fun building! Explore the world of Minecraft on our computers, or bring your own.

Superhero Training Academy

Want to be a Superhero? Come to the library for our Superhero Training Academy at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 16. Complete all 5 activities to receive your own Superhero certificate! Make a mask, test your X-ray vision, and more.

For Teens

Anime Club

Anime Club meets bi-weekly at 4 p.m. Learn about manga, anime, gaming, and Japanese culture. Next meeting is Thursday, November 16.

Teen Advisory Board

Join us as we start a Teen Advisory Board (TAB), on the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. We want to hear from 6th-12th graders about library programs, books, and other materials. Come for free food and fun! The next meeting is Wednesday, December 6.

For Adults

Child Support

The library will host a 5-part Legal Services Series for adults. Classes will be held select Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. The next class on Tuesday, November 14 and is titled Child Support. Listen to the experts, and receive free resources and information! Sponsored by South Carolina Legal Services.

Internet Basics

In partnership with USC-Union, the library will begin to host computer classes. The final class, Internet Basics, will be on Monday, November 13 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, November 16 at 8 a.m.. Classes will be held at USC-Union, on the corner of Church and Main, room 205. Registration is required due to limited space. Call 427-7140 to register. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
