Charles Warner | The Union Times The Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 320 South Church Street, Union, will host a Gingerbread House Display Thursday, Nov. 16 from 4-8 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 17 from 4-8 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will also include a bake sale, crafts, and a drawing. You can enter to win a Custom Gingerbread House.

10:30 a.m.: The Red Hill Baptist Church will have its Annual Missionary Program during the regular morning services.

The speaker will be Minister Jackie Peake McCleave, First Lady of Holy Temple Baptist Church, and originally from Shiloh Baptist Church.

On the menu will be turkey, dressing, rice and gravy, green beans, speckled butter beans, cranberry sauce, corn, deviled eggs, rolls, dessert, and drinks.

It is $8 per plate

This is a fundraiser for the church youth.

4 p.m.: Mt. Rowell Baptist Church will be celebrating 150 years since former slaves began worshipping under a “brush harbor” which is today known as Mt. Rowell Baptist Church.

Mark your calendars and plan to come and worship with us Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at 4 p.m. and join us in our celebration banquet. The banquet will be held at the Pacolet River Baptist Association, 168 Lovers Lane Road, Union.

We hope you will join us for this auspicious occasion as Rev. Eric Hughes, a descendant of our founder, Rev. Peter Hughes, brings an enlightening message.

Tickets for the banquet are $20 per person and $8 for children under 12 years of age. You may also purchase a table with seating for eight for your business and/or your family for $150.
