County Fair to host Senior Day

UNION — On Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Union County Fair will allow seniors free admission into the fair. There will also be a free event for the seniors in attendance.

The county will provide lunch and entertainment by Brian Redding, Minister of Music at Phillipi Baptist Church, under the pavilion for those at the event. In past years, the event has fed between 400 to 500 seniors. There will also be prize drawings.

The Union County Fair will run from Oct. 17 to Oct. 21. There will be daily entertainment, including The Flores Thrill Show, Banana Derby, and Lew-es Comedy Circus. The fair will be open from 5-11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Friday, and from noon to 12 a.m. on Saturday.
