Charles Warner | The Union Times In addition to books being read, Saturday Storytime at the Union County Carnegie Library also includes projects like this one undertaken this past Saturday. Taking part in the project are Noah Grimes, Bella Stein and her mother, Jessice, and Jennifer Adams, the library’s Community Service Coordinator. With assistance from Mrs. Stein and Mrs. Adams, Bella and Noah made apples using glue, pieces of paper, and paper plates. Saturday Storytime is at 10 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. The next Storytimes will be held October 14 and 28.

Upcoming Events

Storytimes

Listen to music, read stories, and have fun! For ages 0-4.

Tuesday Storytime resumes on October 3, and will be held every Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The library will have an Evening Storytime on October 5 at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday Storytime is at 10 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Upcoming dates are October 14 and 28.

For Kids

Drop in at 4 p.m. on October 11 for our once-a-month non-competitive LEGO Challenge Club and have fun creating! We supply the LEGOs, you bring your imagination.

For Teens

Join us as we start a Teen Advisory Board (TAB), on the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. We want to hear from 6th-12th graders about library programs, books, and other materials. Come for free food and fun!

Anime Club resumes bi-weekly on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m.

For Adults

In partnership with South Carolina Legal Services, the library will host a 5-part Legal Services Series for adults. Classes will be held select Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. The first class on October 3 is titled Education Law: Understanding Your Rights as a Parent. Listen to the experts, and receive free resources and information!
