Saturday, Sept. 30

9 a.m.-Noon: Life Changing Ministry, 501 Hart Street, Union, will hold a Free Community Give-A-Way.

The items to be given away include clothing for men, women, and children as well as shoes and household items.

Special guests will include representatives of the Union Public Safety Department who will be providing information on fire safety and Teresa Pickens from the Bearden-Josey Breast Center who will be providing information on women’s health.

9:30 a.m.: Pacolet River Association Quarterly Meeting will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church.

Sunday, Oct. 1

11 a.m.: Davidson Street Baptist Church, 400 Davidson Street, Clinton, will hold a Oneday Revival.

Monday, Oct. 2- Wednesday, Oct. 4

7 p.m.: Padgett Creek Baptist Church will hold our Fall Revival.

Pastor Danny Monroe will be bringing the message.

Thursday, Oct. 5

The Community Prayer Meeting will be observed at noon at the USC Union gazebo. Please come and join with fellow citizens of Union County, and with others in other places as we pray for our country, our community, our state, and also for our world. Pray for the Church, and for revival in Union County.

Let us give thanks for our country, and pray for the revival and awakening we need to turn us in the right direction. Pray for God’s guidance and protection for our leaders at every level. Please pray for our military, police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and others who risk their lives to serve and protect us. Please pray for the victims of the hurricanes and earthquakes, and for those who help them.

ALL ARE WELCOME. If you can’t get to the gazebo, please take some time for special prayer during the day.

Saturday, Oct. 7-Sunday, Oct. 8

5 p.m. and 11:15 a.m.: The Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Pastoral Ministry, Deacon Board, and Members cordially invite you to the 5th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration for our Pastor, Rev. Roderick Oglesby Sr., and First Lady Joyce Oglesby.

The Anniversary Banquet will be held Saturday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. at Pacolet River Baptist Association Center, Lovers Lane Road, Union.

The Rev. Michael Bridges, Pastor of Concor Baptist Church, Gaffney, will be the guest speaker and will be accompanied by his church family.

Tickets for this special occasion will be $15 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.

The celebration continues on Sunday, Oct. 8 beginning at 11:15 a.m.

Evangelist Sidney Weaver of Cherryville, NC, will be guest speaker for this occasion.

We are thankful to God for sharing him with us and are excited about the direction we are heading in the up building of His Kingdom under the leadership of Pastor Oglesby. We are expecting a spirit filled event and an anointing from the Lord. Please come help show Pastor Oglesby how much we appreciate and love him.

If you cannot attend, we solicit your prayers that God will show up and show out.

Saturday, Oct. 14

4 p.m.: Join Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1622 Kelly Road, for an afternoon of gospel singing and a hot fundraiser for local missions.

Each plate is $7 and includes two hot dogs, chips, slaw, and tea.

Sean Morris, Macy Petty, and others will perform.

Sunday, Oct. 15

11 a.m.: You are cordially invited to Friendship Baptist Church’s 2017 Women’s Day Celebration.

The theme is “The Spiritual Woman.”

The colors for the occasion are White & Royal Purple.

The special speakers will be Joycelyn Powe Eason — Senior Counsel for Wells Fargo Bank, Ashley Glenn Robinson — Academic Coordinator for the College of Charleston, and Elder Letitia Knuckles Jones — Operations Manager & Executive Assistant — Cornerstone Baptist Church.

The church is located at 250 Morning Drive, Spartanburg, SC.
