Library hosting Space Camp


At Truluck Activity Center Aug. 7-10

Image courtesy of Union County Carnegie Library The Union County Carnegie Library will sponsor a Space Camp at the Truluck Activity Center on North Church Street Aug. 7-10. The camp, which will be held each day from 10 a.m.-noon, will include fun, learning, and snacks. It is for children ages 8 and older and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants will receive free eclipse safety glasses. For more information about eclipse events call 864-427-7140.

Upcoming Events

The Board of Trustees of the library will have a meeting August 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the library.

Saturday Storytime will be at 10 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Upcoming dates are August 12 and 26. Listen to music, read stories, and have fun! For ages 0-4.

Eclipse Events

The library will be hosting Space Camp for ages 8+ at Truluck Activity Center on August 7-10 from 10 a.m.-noon. There will be fun, learning, and snacks, and participants may attend one day or every day. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

We will have an Adult Eclipse program on August 14 from 6-7 p.m. at the library. More details to follow.

Join the library for an Eclipse Watch Party on August 21 from 1-4 p.m. on the library lawn. Bring chairs, blankets, and or even have a picnic as we watch the eclipse.

All eclipse program attendees will receive a free pair of eclipse safety glasses!
