6:45 p.m.: New Emanuel is celebrating their 124th Annual Homecoming and Revival Celebration which began this past Sunday.

Our theme is “Lord, Don’t Let Us Fall Short.” Our guest speakers will be:

2 p.m.: The St. Luke Baptist Church Family invites the public to our Deacon Ordination Service.

5 p.m.: Chambertown Lighthouse Community Church, 413 South Mountain Street, Union, will hold an Appreciation Banquet at Grace United Methodist Church, 217 South Mountain Street (Fellowship Hall).

Sunday, July 30-Wednesday, Aug. 2

11 a.m. & 3 p.m. & 7 p.m.: Chambertown Lighthouse Community Church, 413 South Mountain Street, Union, will hold Revival Services.

The speaker for the 11 a.m. Sunday service will be Apostle Anthony Blocker of Columbia.

The speaker for the 3 p.m. Sunday service will be Minister & Recording Artist Corneilia De’ Flore’ of Tallahassee, Florida.

The speaker for the 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday services will be Manifested Power Revival Pastor Janice Town, Athens, Ga.

Noon, 2 p.m. & 7:15 p.m.: Galilee Baptist Church in the Sedalia Community will have an annual “Homecoming and Revival.”

On Sunday at 12 p.m. Pastor Malachi Rodgers Sr. will speak followed at 2 p.m. by Rev. Geoffrey Stephens, Pastor of Red Hill Baptist Church.

Monday through Wednesday nights a 7:15 p.m. Dr. Jefferson McDowell, Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Laurens, will speak.

5:30 p.m.: Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will have their Poor Man’s Supper.

The menu will be hot dogs, baked beans, slaw, chips, drinks, and dessert.

Wednesday, Aug. 2

6:30-8 p.m.: The Youth Ministry of McBeth Baptist Church will sponsor “Operation Get Smart” at the church featuring the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Operation Get Smart (OGS) is a crime prevention/public awareness program sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Corrections. It was implemented in 1976 and for more than past 38 years OGS has been a model program used by other states interested in implementing effective crime prevention programs. The goal of the program is to make students aware of the consequences poor decision-making can have on a person’s life.

Operation Get Smart consists of 3-10 participants that travel the state speaking to youth and adults about actions which led to their involvement on crime and consequences of criminal behavior. Each participant reinforces the same values and life skills that parents and educators encourage.

Sunday, August 6-Monday, August 7

3 p.m. & 7 p.m.: Beatty’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church will observe its annual Revival Services.

Pastor LaQuita Griffin of Mitchell Chapel Christian Church, Union, will deliver the message Sunday evening and Monday night.
