‘Lego® Kickoff Challenge’ fun

Charles Warner | The Union Times There weren’t enough tables to go around at the Union County Carnegie Library during the June 5 “LEGO® Kickoff Challenge” so these children use the floor as both their tables and chairs. The event kicked off the library’s “Summer Reading 2017” program which runs through the end of July.

Charles Warner | The Union Times The normally neat and tidy floors of the Union County Carnegie Library were anything but that during the “LEGO® Kickoff Challenge” held June 5. Children built their projects on the tables in the library but with so many children participating the floor became both tables and chairs. The event kicked off the library’s “Summer Reading 2017” program which runs through the end of July.

UNION COUNTY — The Union County Carnegie Library’s “Summer Reading 2017” kicked off at the beginning of June with the “LEGO® Kickoff Challenge.”

The challenge gave childfren the opportunity to use toys to build whatever they wanted during the three-hour event. The activities also incuded a Lego themed game of twister.

The Summer Reading 2017 program, which runs through July 29, is part of the many summer activities offered by the library for patrons of all ages.

Persons interested in taking part in Summer Reading 2017 can register online at unionlibsc.readsquared.com to log books and hours read, earn points, and win prizes.
