Summer Reading begins June 5

Register online at unionlibsc.readsquared.com to log books and hours read, earn points, and win prizes. Summer Reading activities on June 5 include the LEGO® Kickoff Challenge from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and, at 8 p.m., the first of the Movies Under the Stars which will be held each Monday at 8 p.m. “Sing” will be the movie shown June 5.


Image courtesy of Union County Carnegie Library Summer Reading 2017 at the Union County Carnegie Library is for all ages including teens who will be able to enjoy the “Teen Hangout” Fridays from 1-5 p.m. June 9 through July 21 which will feature games, activities, and snacks; “Gaming” on June 29 at 1 p.m. during which they will be able to design your own game; and a “Teen Lock-In” from 6-10 p.m. during which they will enjoy Laser Tag, music, and play with Super Soakers. Registration for Summer Reading begins May 30 and the overall program gets under way June 5 with the LEGO® Kickoff Challenge from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and the first Movie Night at 8 p.m. featuring the family film “Sing.”

Memorial Day

The library will be closed for Memorial Day, May 27 and 29. The library will re-open on May 30 at 9 a.m.

Resume′ Help
