The Board of Trustees of the library will have a Board Training session on Tuesday, May 5 from 5-7 p.m. at the library.
May Is Senior Adult Month
Seniors 70+ can enter to win a lighted magnifying glass during May! Entry forms will be at the front desk of the library and drawings will be each Friday at 10 a.m. during May. The dates of the drawings are: Friday, May 5; Friday, May 12; Friday, May 19; and Friday, May 26. Two magnifying glasses will be awarded each week.
Other Senior assistive devices offered include audio books delivered to your home and visual and hearing impairment equipment. In addition, there is a Summer Reading Club for Adults available to members of the Talking Book Services. Registration for this begins June 5th and ends June 23rd. Resume help will be held at the library (sponsored by SC Works) monthly on the 3rd Friday from 4-5 p.m. Current dates are Friday, May 19 and Friday, June 16.
Restoration Brick Project
The Friends of the Union County Library are pleased to offer the Union County residents an opportunity to participate in a unique engraved brick project. The proceeds of this project will go to the library renovation. Engraved bricks may be purchased as a way to honor family members, friends, organizations, and special groups. These beautiful memorials will be placed in a walkway of honor on the library grounds. Please stop by or contact the library for additional information.
