UNION — Family and friends of a local woman are raising money to help with the cost of her kidney transplant.
Local resident Bridget Gregory, 37, is battling kidney failure, and she has made the list for a kidney transplant. Bridget’s sister-in-law, Heather Gregory, said Bridget has battled Leukemia and won, and now she needs help during her battle with kidney failure.
“She has already gone through so much,” Heather said.
Heather said a current fundraiser is a raffle for a Yeti cooler, with raffle tickets sold for $5 each.
“This fundraiser is to help with funds for the transplant and all other fees that will be associated with her and her family during the time of the transplant,” Heather said.
The raffle tickets will be available for purchase through Dec. 23, and the drawing will be held on Christmas Eve. The winner will be contacted, and a video of the drawing will be posted on Facebook.
Bridget is the wife of Brian Gregory and the mother of Dalton, 13, Parker, 11, and Brayden, 11.
“We need to help spread the word to as many as possible to be able to raise as much money as possible so Bridget will be ready when the call (for the transplant) comes!” Heather said.
Tickets will be available at several local businesses, which will be posted on Facebook (including on The Union Daily Times Facebook page).
