UNION COUNTY — Two student groups at Union County High School are teaming up for a food drive to help the needy at their school and in the community.

The Union County Junior High School Civitan Club and the Union County High School Future Farmers of America are joining forces in an ongoing campaign for the 2017-2018 school year. A flier advertising the effort states the Junior Civitans and the FFA “are joining forces to help feed those in need.”

The flier further states that “in an effort to help feed those in our schools and community who may sometimes go hungry, our two clubs are joining forces to collect canned foods, packaged snacks and other non-perishable foot items. We will also share some of these donations in other national disaster relief efforts as they arise.”

Persons wanting to donate to the food drive may drop off their donations at the following locations:

• Room 122 at Union County High School.

• WBCU Radio Station on Main Street in downtown Union.

• The Mayor’s Office in the City of Union Municipal Building.
