ALIQUIPPA, PA — Mrs. Estella Stevens-Curenton, widow of William Curenton, Sr., died Aug. 23, 2010 at her residence in Aliquippa, PA.

Born Feb. 2, 1927 in Union, SC to the late Barto and Mable (Cheek) Stevens Cobb. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are four children, William Curenton Jr., Lucious (Iris) Curenton, II, Ester Gilbert, and Betty Ann Smith (Eric) Gilliam, SC; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mae Owensby of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Wallace Stevens of Detroit, MI; mother-in-law Sallie Curenton of Union, SC; and six sisters and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
